Fig and Stone Fruit Toasts with Black Pepper Honey

- 4 slices hearty bread
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3-4 medium plums, peaches, apricots, pluots, or apriums
- 3 medium fresh figs
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 tbsp mascarpone cheese
Brush both sides of each piece of bread with a little olive oil. Grill over high heat until toasted, 1-2 minutes per side.
Slice the figs and stone fruits, about ΒΌ inch thick.
Stir the freshly cracked black pepper and a pinch of salt into the honey.
Spread each slice of bread with 1 tablespoon mascarpone, top with fig and stone fruit slices, then drizzle with the black pepper honey.
